William M. “Bill” Levandoski, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 25, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 25, at St. Pius X in Indianapolis. Bill was born on September 20, 1935, in Wausau, Wisconsin. He was educated in Wausau and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1957 with a degree in Geology. On June 20, 1958, Bill and Patricia N. “Patti” Erwin were married in Wausau. While raising four children, they moved to Indianapolis in 1972. Bill enjoyed hosting parties with Patti, referring to himself as the Polish Prince, and the two maintained beautiful and bountiful gardens of flowers and vegetables. They were very active members of St. Pius X, and sang in the choir for many years. Bill also enjoyed sporting events, especially those involving the Green Bay Packers, his membership in the Sertoma Club, his cats and Christmas.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patti Levandoski; one sister, Wilma Witter of Wausau; his daughter, Jane Stookey; two sons, Timothy (Mindy) of Carmel, IN, and Mark (Monica) of Grinnell, IA; five grandchildren, and cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his son, Christopher.
In lieu of sending flowers, we ask that you make a donation to your local pet shelter. Or you can just buy your own pets some treats and tell them they’re from Bill. Mostly ice cream, vanilla. He would like that.

Pat, Jane, Tim, Mark, Mindi and Monica,
Just heard about Bill, and am so, so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of him, and of your whole family. Your house was my second residence all through Jr. High & HS – thank you all for more happy memories than I can recount at one sitting. Sending love and strength as you help each other through this.
Fondly,
-Mike
P.S. My son just ran his first season on the Northview Cross Country team this year…thought you’d get a kick out of that!

Pat, Jane, Tim, Mindi, Mark, and Monica, I loved visiting with you at your home at Christmastime or any time! The conversation was always lively and I always felt at home. I’m truly saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. His love of all things Wisconsin and his passion for gardening made him an even more special person in my view. He was a great mentor to my mother and they could smoke and talk about Wisconsin in their homeland accent while herding kids to the starting line. Peace!

Dear Pat and the Levandoski Family,
I’m sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind, and I liked his kind. His best attributes continue to shine through in his children, of which one I’ve made a lifelong friendship. I’ll always remember how much fun we had on our amazing trip out to see the Badgers win the Rose Bowl. Bill will be smiling down on me when I soon feed my dog vanilla ice cream. -Billy
